Three Times a Charm

Day 3 of Bonding with Batyrhan — December 17, 2009

There was no crying and he came easily to me and plopped on my lap. We also were able to walk outside for 20 minutes so I was able to dress him (what layers!) and walk outside without any accompaniment. To watch Gary with him warms my heart more than any words I type here could ever express. He is quite adorable, though reminds me of a cat sometimes. A quick mover, he appears to pounce. Surely, baby proofing will have to be thorough 😉 Emma and Eden, you are going to adore this little brother. I think he will fit into our family so well and make everyone smile every day! Love you both so much, my big sisters!

I will just post the photos now as my exhaustion prevents me from thinking. For now, enjoy the photos and I will fill in some info tomorrow.

Also, just an aside, I have been very nauseous today, having nothing to do with food. We took a brisk walk today for about an hour and inhaling the fumes of leaded gas and being at a higher altitude has gotten to me. In the car on the way back from the BH, I was also nauseous and now it won’t leave me. So it’s to bed I go.

    The new photos are heartmelting. I just can't say how happy I am for you. I love the looks on your faces — the love is growing exponentially and I can just see it in everyone's eyes.

    When reading your thoughts about Gary, I think that falling in love with a REAL child is just a whole different experience than the thought of / anticipation of loving a child you don't know. Some people can wrap their brains around the idea of this person and others just need the concreteness. All of a sudden, here is this little boy who is destined to be your son, and has a little personality all his own and needs you to give him a family. He laughs, he smiles, he runs and plays and charms you. How could your heart not just open up completely??? 🙂

  25. Beautiful just beautiful you all look so happy together now you know why you were delayed Batyrhan was not ready,I too remember feeling very nausea's I thought it was eating too much yogurt but it passed after a good nights sleep, hope the same is for you,
