I hope that Lea was right — that this unusual product sold at my local pharmacy, and yours too, is the answer to my fingerprint prayers. Have you ever heard of this unique moisturizer goo that I’ve been using for a few days now on my fingertips? Corn Huskers Lotion … who would’ve thunk? I hope that we were met with success today after Gary and I got our digital Fingerprints at the Brooklyn USCIS office today to complete our I600A process. Tomorrow, we go back to the Police Precinct to take more prints for the FBI clearance for the dossier. I hope everything moves through in a timely manner. We’re so close … but yet, it ain’t over ’til the fat lady sings.
Took the kids to tennis today. Emma hits some pretty great shots. With just two lessons under belt, Eden seems to have a steady swing, no matter if she makes contact with the ball or not. They make me laugh. Here’s a new flip video. What fun! You will notice that Eden is wearing a lovely set of cozy pajamas that she insisted on wearing not only to school but to tennis lessons as well. At three weeks shy of turning 4, this kid really needs to show control. And you know what, I have absolutely learned to pick my battles! (As always, please pause my Playlist at the bottom of the screen so that you can hear the groovy video music, should you choose.)
Good luck with the prints! The girls looks so cute, they are doing great at tennis!
Greetings from a fellow Kazakhstan adoptive Mom!
I have been following your blog, and am cheering you on each step in your adoption journey! You have reason to be a bit disheartened and frustrated—you really have hit far more than your share of obstacles and delays so far, BUT you’ve been doing wonderfully well with keeping things in perspective and persevering!! You will need this same sense of looking forward and staying positive as you continue on in the journey toward holding your son in your arms. Kazakhstan adoptions are not for the faint of heart, however I am strongly convinced it is so very worth it. I saw first-hand how wonderfully my daughters were care for and loved by the fine caregivers in the Umit Detsky Dom (means Hope Baby Home in Russian) in Taraz, Kazakstan when I adopted Sara Marina (now age 5) in 2004 and Kate (now age 3) in 2006.
Blessings to you, and to your little one who waits for you in Kazakhstan,
Marcia from Wisconsin
