I’m so sorry about the fingerprint fiasco and to hear about your social worker. Scary stuff! I wish her well.

If I remember correctly I downloaded the fingerprint cards online and printed them on cardstock at home. Then we just showed up to the police station to get the prints on a Sunday early afternoon when it was slow.

I know it’s sooo hard to have all these delays, but as you say, it will work out the way it was meant to be.

I met you at Carolyn & Henry's Gotcha Day party. I know you've probably heard it a million times, but I just love your blog. You put into words so many of my concerns and thoughts as I've been trudging through the process towards my sweet little one in Ethiopia. The day after Henry's party I received my "proposal" (referral) for the sweetest little girl! The timing was completely off what I had thought it would be…but, I know in my heart that it was what was meant to be. I know that one day you will think back to all the frustrations like re-doing fingerprints and it will all seem some insignificant next to the love you have for your child.

P.S. Where did you say you got the recipe for your chocolate dipped macaroons? I cannot tell you how many times I've thought of those since. Sad, huh? What can I say I'm a sucker for good cooking!

As far as those fingerprints, I am the queen of rejected fingerprints and I kept reminding myself through all the frustration that it was all part of the plan.
